Cujo is out of Scandifio’s Tequila and Vignol’s Tito
Cujo is our 3 year old male,
a most welcome addition to our family. We do not show him or breed with him. We bought him as a pet a few years ago from Angela at
Renaissance Kennel in Oregon. My husband and I were looking on the internet for a dog that would protect us and one that was rare. We were first interested in
the Presa Canario, that is until I came up on a page that introduced me to Cane Corsos.
I showed my husband what a Cane Corso was and he was really taken away by them. The thing that hooked us most with a Cane Corso was the fact that they were loyal to the whole family and not choosing only one master. We have 4 children and we liked the fact that they sensed a child’s innocence and helplessness,
We knew from that point on the Cane Corso was the perfect dog to become a part of our family.
This is quite a funny story, I am the type of person that is quite spontaneous.
One day my husband got off work and I told him I found a breeder somewhat close
by (kind of). We live in California you see, and I had convinced him to drive to Oregon that very night to go pick up our dog
Cujo. Well.... we went. It took us 10 hours to finally get there. I had tried calling the breeder but never got
an answer. We just assumed we’d find it, and we did. We showed up and went to the door and
saw the most awesome looking dogs. We chose a pet quality male and brought our sweetheart home. Well we had only came with so much money and we left in such a hurry I had left my purse which had my bank card in it so we only had $20 left to get home on that 10 hour drive back, we were like what are we going to do? Well we drove and drove and then it started to
snow (my husband had never seen or touched snow) so what did he do? He pulled over jumped out of the car excited like a little child and me and Cujo and our 3 month old son were rolling away, it was until I screamed he realized what happened. He got back in and we had a good laugh. So we continued to drive and passed a
casino (oh yes we did what you are thinking now) we gambled our last $20 and got $80 out of that and went home from such an adventurous ride that is now our fond and dear memory of our first Corso named Cujo that had inspired us to buy 2 more. I hope you enjoyed this story as much as we have enjoyed sharing it with all of you Corso lovers.
